Warrington Colescott (b. 1921) American is an innovator of advanced printmaking and imagery techniques who taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His works are often satirical featuring fictional history often start with historical facts that are overlaid by his own interpretations, styles, and themes. His prints are in major collections including the Museum of Modern Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Tate, Whitney, Museum of American Art, National Gallery of Art, Art Institute of Chicago, and the Corcoran Gallery of Art.
