Our Story

Our grandfathers are our inspiration. One was a town planner who bootstrapped his way out of a village. While his day job moved the family to a comfortable lifestyle, his heart persistently tugged him to enjoy the arts. The other worked in animal husbandry and mastered artisanal skills, always tinkering, collecting, and refurbishing unique finds.

When our paths collided while serving in the U.S. Peace Corps, our shared passion for cultural exploration sparked a storybook love story. Our commitment to public service naturally landed us in Washington, D.C., but as we set down roots, we felt like something was missing. We missed being immersed in a community that inspired learning, discovery, expression, and growth.

We ventured into the vintage art market to furnish our home and discovered that missing connection. For every piece we procured, we loved delving into its history and learning about the artist's journey. In sharing our findings with family and friends, we realized the power of the stories we were collecting. We started Old Town Fine Arts to share these stories.
