Elegant and contemporary update to a classic American quilt by Lucinda Carlstrom, 1993.
Signed, titled, and dated with studio sticker en verso.
Framed Dimensions: 30.25 inches by 30.25 inches.
Medium: Mixed Media, quilted paper and fabric.
Condition: Excellent used condition with small specks of lint or dirt caught between the frame and mat in the bottom left, see picture.
Lucinda Carlstrom (b. 1950) is an Atlanta, Georgia based artist known for her signature paper quilts. Texture and design play an important role in her mixed media piecework constructions. She integrates many different materials in her quilts including gold leaf, handmade Japanese paper, and salvaged antique silks. Her work is influenced by folk art and geometric quilt patterns and is in the collection of the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles and many private collections across the United States.
