Grace Arnold Albee (1890 – 1985) was a prominent American artist who produced over two hundred and fifty prints from linocuts, woodcuts, and wood engravings during her sixty-year career. Her career exemplified a transformative journey from familial obligations to professional success in the male-dominated art world. She became the first female graphic artist to achieve full Academician membership in the National Academy of Design. Her works are included in many public collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, National Gallery of Art, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
